Something happens to my soul when I step out on cool, crisp, sunny fall day knowing I am going to be with family outside and doing something fun and productive! The ride! Oh my, seeing all the early peaks of color atop the trees! I love to watch the little kids try and reach that impossibly high apple that they have their eyes and hearts set on! Something about the excitement seeing them pick out their pumpkins ... you just never know what they will pick up (small? oddly shaped? super sized?) it is so darn cute!
I get ambitious about baking an apple pie when I get home (I never did that exact day) yet each year I THINK I will:) how funny!
Here are some photos I am sharing you of Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow, MA
What a great place to visit! Let's now forget those FUN hay rides that we wait in line for a LONG time to get on but never disappointing!
This particular year my husband was on-call but that did not stop me! I went with my son and mother. My daughter is 24 years old, newly engaged and was working this Sunday. She was greatly missed and I KNOW she would have had me laughing SO hard the entire time! Love you Kayte!!!
Me Richard (my 14 year old son) and wonderful, best friend Patricia (my loving mother).
The photo above and below reminded me Ireland or Scotland, It was stunning farm just about a few miles from where we picked apples, the great thing about going for a ride like this is taking the time to STOP and take it all in...I pulled over on the side of the road for these photos:)
Below was a daring, typical NE Style Home with the most cute window boxes all decked out with orange pumpkins! Just LOVED it!
I don't DARE forget to mention the delicious Apple Cider Donuts that are made here and I HAD to have my mom STOP me from eating them ALL:) took some home to hubby and my dad:) Well, now I am hungry for the perfect snack! You guessed it! AN APPLE!!
